Privacy Policy
AwareGO SafeAction — Inline Checker (browser extension). Last updated 13 October 2026.
The short version: SafeAction checks the email you are viewing on your own device. Your email content is never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account, no tracking, no ads, and we never sell your data.
Who provides this extension
The SafeAction Inline Checker is provided by AwareGO s.r.o. (Czech Republic). For any privacy question, contact support@awarego.com.
What the extension does
When you open Gmail, SafeAction reads the sender, subject, message text, links and attachment names of the message on your screen and analyses them locally in your browser, using a built-in database of scam and phishing patterns. It then shows a safety label — Likely safe, Suspicious, or Likely fraud — and, for a risky message, a short explanation and a link to a 60-second training lesson.
What leaves your browser — and what doesn’t
- Your email content never leaves your device. The analysis happens entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit the contents of your emails.
- No account, no tracking. The extension does not create an account, use analytics, or build a profile of you.
- Optional feedback (off by default). If you switch on “share feedback” and then tap the thumbs-up or thumbs-down on a result, the extension sends a small, anonymous signal — the verdict, the scam category, the sender’s domain, and your language — to help us improve detection. It never includes the content of your email, your name, or your email address. It stays off unless you turn it on.
- Training lessons. Tapping “learn to spot this” opens a lesson page on app.safeaction.awarego.com. The link carries only the scam category and your language — no email content.
What is stored on your device
The extension uses your browser’s local storage to remember your preferences: your chosen language, your list of trusted and blocked senders, and whether you have enabled feedback sharing. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose. The optional feedback signal is used solely to improve SafeAction’s scam detection.
The permissions we request, in plain language
- Access to mail.google.com — so the extension can read the on-screen message and show the safety label inside Gmail. This runs on your device.
- Access to app.safeaction.awarego.com — to open the training lessons and, only if you opt in, to send the anonymous feedback signal.
- Storage — to remember your preferences locally.
Children
SafeAction is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for material changes we will note it in the extension’s store listing.
